چکیده

Lichens comprise highly diverse and complex microbial communities, the majority consisting of mycobiont, photobiont, Basidiomycetes yeast bacteriobiont (internal bacterial communities). In this study, diversity foliose lichen was reported. Next generation sequence (NGS) such as Illumina Sequencing (150*2) 16S rRNA (V3 V6 region) used to delineate communities associated with five samples. Bacterial sequences obtained from samples suggested that, they harboured community variable relative abundances. Among all Alphaproteobacteria were dominant in tested The principal coordinate analysis, Venn bar chart showed significant changes between different useful lineages across lichens. abundance rare species found varied, diverse, distinct unique each lichen. Proteobacteria 48.19%, Actinobacteria 25.70%, Bacteroidetes 8.53%, Acidobacteria 9.36% Chloroflexi 0.83% predominant present empirical study enhances confirmed knowledge inevitably lichens is first report on lichenized perhaps their potential possible role symbiosis addition phycobiont mycobiont.

Molecular analysis of lichen-associated bacterial communities.

The bacterial communities associated with 11 different lichen samples (belonging to eight different species) from different habitats were investigated. The culturable aerobic-heterotrophic fraction of the bacterial communities was isolated from nine lichen samples on protein-rich and sugar-rich/N-free media. Thirty-four bacterial isolates were purified and pooled into groups (phylotypes) by ana...

Bacterial communities associated with the lichen symbiosis.

Lichens are commonly described as a mutualistic symbiosis between fungi and "algae" (Chlorophyta or Cyanobacteria); however, they also have internal bacterial communities. Recent research suggests that lichen-associated microbes are an integral component of lichen thalli and that the classical view of this symbiotic relationship should be expanded to include bacteria. However, we still have a l...

High-throughput sequencing for the study of bacterial pathogen biology

A revolution in sequencing technologies in recent years has led to dramatically increased throughput and reduced cost of bacterial genome sequencing. An increasing number of applications of the new technologies are providing broad insights into bacterial evolution, epidemiology, and pathogenesis. For example, the capacity to sequence large numbers of bacterial isolates is enabling high resoluti...

Using high throughput sequencing to explore the biodiversity in oral bacterial communities.

High throughput sequencing of 16S ribosomal RNA gene amplicons is a cost-effective method for characterization of oral bacterial communities. However, before undertaking large-scale studies, it is necessary to understand the technique-associated limitations and intrinsic variability of the oral ecosystem. In this work we evaluated bias in species representation using an in vitro-assembled mock ...
